Title: A letter to the editor.
I desperately need to repurchase (third time now) my stolen pool noodles.
I woke up in the worst shelter I have visited so far in the God forsaken country. I needed to write but I couldn't safely get to the piece of paper that will save my psyche. I am in the Great depression of my mind, where my body and spirit has already departed from this earth. My family and friends have all passed beyond this lifetime. I can see all their faces but each one is blurred. They are deformed with recognizable but disproportionately matching bodies except one. Then I wake up confused, this has been an everyday occurrence since I got here. I don't ever remember dreams though. Surely, this must be a dream because I had dreams and aspirations , or so I thought. Nothing makes any sense here. The actions of the people around me are indescribable. They do not match the situation at hand, but they again it does and perfectly. The ones who put me here sleep soundly as I contemplate this disaster day after day after day. Their plan is impenetrable. It was carefully and methodically executed long before I realized what was happening.

My only hope is saving another but not myself. Is that possible? I cannot find an ending that makes sense. Should I want to save you without saving myself is a hopeless adventure like the beautiful American Indian woman, Rosie. I am in search of this answer right now, basically at every moment of my recently confusing existence. This is the only real question that brings me any hope. Every morning as I start again to image some kind of positive outcome the screaming begins in the south east corner. No longer does the aroma of coffee and bacon begin my day. I didn't realize how important that really was before I came to this place called hell. Burn the Flag!

There is a dead silence as the emergency personnel walk past me, with a hopefully warm body, pushing the gurney that might as well be a casket. Emergency vehicles are not electric but I hear absolutely no sound at all. Just silence as I watch the future of hundreds, thousands, millions of people like you and me if we do not make a change. I lost my apple watch in the desert some time ago and it gets harder every day to tell the other lonely traveler as they pass. It's like playing charades for music people who love iOS. I never thought it was possible to have light and darkness in the same place at the exact same moment while pretending nothing is wrong. Someone is missing from here as a train rifle its horn in horrific desperation. That is not normal. They (our governors) place signs everywhere to warn those who can't or do not want to read. Almost no fences surrounding this death trap I listen to every day and night as I pray for forgiveness. I am still surrounded by the best. Those who see the people that need help are the ones that save us; with actions not words. It's going to be okay, I found the underground tunnel although extremely sharply tight, I wait for the light to quickly pass for my opportunity. I cannot misjudge the timing this time or I could be already dead.
