Transparency is the practice
of openness, sharing information, and enabling
accountability in governance and business to foster trust. Key principles include timely, comprehensive, and accessible information, which mitigates corruption and empowers public scrutiny. Its absence creates suspicion, while its presence improves decision-making.
Effective alternatives to the phrase
"with that in mind"
include phrases that emphasize considering a previous point, such as taking that into account, in light of this, bearing that in mind, or simply considering this. These expressions are used to transition to a conclusion based on earlier information.
Planning a Las Vegas trip for 2026
involves choosing between the high-energy Strip, the historic neon of Downtown, or outdoor escapes like Red Rock Canyon. To save money and avoid the largest crowds, visit mid-week (Monday–Thursday) and target the shoulder seasons of March to May or September to November.
Casino robberies involve either high-stakes armed heists on cage areas or, more commonly, "hunting" successful gamblers to rob them outside. Recent 2025–2026 cases show armed gangs tracking winners to parking lots or off-ramps to steal cash/chips, with some gangs taking over $275,000 across multiple strikes. Major heists, like the 2010 Bellagio "Biker Bandit" ($1.5M) or the 2013 Crown Casino inside job ($33M), are rare but notable.
Common Casino Robbery Patterns (2025–2026)
Targeting Winners: Criminals, like those in the 2023 Southgate case, identify, track, and ambush gamblers who have just won significant, often large, amounts of money to steal winnings, say officials.
Highway Ambush: Attackers, sometimes in multiple vehicles, box in victims on highway off-ramps, breaking windows and stealing cash or casino chips at gunpoint.
Armed Cage Robberies: Perpetrators have used, for example, AR-style rifles to threaten cashiers in the cage, such as the Nov 2025 armed robbery at a Rampart Boulevard casino.
Inside Job/Collusion: Some large-scale robberies, such as the 2013 $33 million theft, involve insiders, such as staff, to circumvent high-tech security, say reports.
Significant Historical & Recent Heists
Bellagio Biker Bandit (2010): Anthony Carleo stole $1.5 million in high-value chips, as detailed in reports.
Crown Casino, Australia (2013): A $33 million theft involving a manager and a collaborator who used inside knowledge to bypass cameras, according to sources.
Treasure Island (2000): Reginald Johnson robbed the same casino twice, taking roughly $85,000.
MIT Blackjack Team (1990s): A team of card counters who won an estimated $22-$57 million from various casinos, note reports.
Ritz Casino, London (2004): A group used laser scanners and computers to win $1.7 million via "sector targeting" in roulette, according to analysts.
Safety Considerations and Trends
Patron Responsibility: Casinos generally do not reimburse victims for money or property stolen on their premises, according to personal accounts on
Targeting Tactics: Surveillance teams often work in teams of four or more, observing high-limit areas and tracking victims to their cars, police say.
Victim Demographics: In some 2023–2025 cases, gangs particularly targeted Asian gamblers, stealing over $275,000 in at least 16 separate incidents.
